Here are Some Samples of
Dog Art from my Collection
I offer 2 different mediums to choose from for your pet portrait. The
first is Scratchboard. Scratchboard, for those who don't know, is a
somewhat unique medium. It allows me the chance to show off the
details, such as the expression of the eyes, and the silly way his
hair always falls in front of his face. Some of these are Group Pet
Portraits which is a wonderful way to display all of your beloved
dogs or cats, or both!

Starting with a black inked surface,
the ink is slowly scratched away
revealing the white beneath. If you
prefer a pet portrait of classical fine
detail, but like the dramatic
appearance of white on black, then
this might be the one for you! There
are many Pet Portrait Artists out
there, I hope to offer a new and
Original spin on an old idea.

The other portrait medium or style is the more traditional
portrait in Pastel & Ink. Offering a more "romantic" look,
with softer lines and soft colors. A portrait in Pastel & Ink
style allows for more of the look of a painting. Not as
detailed as a Scratchboard, but with enough to bring out
those soft and sweet qualities of your dog or cat.

Portraits in Pastel & Ink also encompasses
Black and White studies using Charcoal
and Ink. Some may prefer the simple
elegance of a black and white portrait, but
without the extreme contrast of a
scratchboard. I can work from black and
white photographs as well as color photos.
